We built Sevah Mind around a simple principle: your personal reflections and wellness data belong to you, and only you. This Privacy Policy explains how the app works, what information (if any) is involved, and how we handle privacy, especially for younger users.
Because Sevah Mind does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on any server, most of what a typical privacy policy would describe simply does not apply here. We still want to be fully transparent about our approach, so please read on for the details.
In short: we collect nothing. Sevah Mind does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, or identifiers of any kind.
Specifically:
If you delete the Sevah Mind app from your device, any locally stored data is removed along with it. We have no copy of it and no way to recover it, because we never had it in the first place.
Shubho Sevah takes children's privacy seriously, and Sevah Mind has been designed to align with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on children's mobile apps.
On first launch, Sevah Mind presents an age gate before any use of the app. Users who indicate they are under 13 years old are directed into a parent-accompanied experience, designed to be used together with a parent or guardian rather than independently by a child.
Because Sevah Mind does not collect personal information from any user, including children, there is no personal data collected from children under 13 for us to store, use, or share. The age gate exists to route younger users into an appropriate, supervised experience, not to collect or verify identifying information.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app outside of the intended parent-accompanied experience, please note again that no personal data is collected or retained by Sevah Mind in any case. Sevah Mind includes one-tap access to crisis resources, including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, so that users can quickly reach support in moments of need.
Tapping a crisis resource link within Sevah Mind may take you outside of the app to an external service, such as dialing or texting 988, or opening another organization's website or phone system. These external services are operated by third parties and are not owned, controlled, or operated by Shubho Sevah.
Once you leave Sevah Mind to use a crisis resource such as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, your interaction with that service is governed by its own privacy policy and terms, not by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any external crisis resource you contact. We provide these links solely as a convenience to help connect users with immediate support, and we have no access to, involvement in, or responsibility for any information exchanged with those third-party services.
Because all app data remains solely on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on any Shubho Sevah server, there is no server-side data of yours for us to secure, and no transmission of your data that could be intercepted. The security of any locally stored data is tied to the security of your own device, including any passcode, biometric lock, or encryption features your device operating system provides.
We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a passcode or biometric lock to help protect any information stored on it, including within Sevah Mind.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the app, in applicable law, or in our practices. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Sevah Mind after any changes to this policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated terms.
